On 22 April 2007, the day of the last London Marathon, we lost a good friend, Stuart Burke, to Epilepsy (sudep).

Stu was a keen runner, and had often talked about wanting to run the London Marathon.
He won't get a chance now, and so we’re going to run it for him – probably not as quickly as Stu would have done, but in his memory. We’re also raising funds for a charity who work hard to offer help and support to epilepsy sufferers.

While we may be sadly lacking in fitness, we do have a belly full of determination, and a great bunch of friends and family behind us – your support is so important, and so much appreciated.

This blog has been created to share some of our journey with anybody out there who's interested. The countdown has begun!

Strange!

Its been a hard slog for the past 3 or 4 months and now with only a few days left before the big run I'm finding it abit strange not running, eating as much as i can and just resting. I think my body thinks it has done the run as this week I've been full of a chest infection and a cold, but its on its way out now luckily.
Just been to pick up the running vests from the printers, we've had our names printed on the front and a good sized picture of stuey on the back, looking good many thanks to Gill and Andrew at Aden Tudor. Will get Ben to post a picture !
The strangest thing of all is that i'm starting to get excited and looking forward to sunday with the odd butterfly in my belly. Bring it on!
