On 22 April 2007, the day of the last London Marathon, we lost a good friend, Stuart Burke, to Epilepsy (sudep).

Stu was a keen runner, and had often talked about wanting to run the London Marathon.
He won't get a chance now, and so we’re going to run it for him – probably not as quickly as Stu would have done, but in his memory. We’re also raising funds for a charity who work hard to offer help and support to epilepsy sufferers.

While we may be sadly lacking in fitness, we do have a belly full of determination, and a great bunch of friends and family behind us – your support is so important, and so much appreciated.

This blog has been created to share some of our journey with anybody out there who's interested. The countdown has begun!

Insomnia

Didn't sleep well last night, too much going on in the brain.

Is my calf ok? Should I be eating more carbs? Less carbs? What will my knees do if I go for a run on Wednesday? Have I got a cold? Am I worrying too much?

This is what happens when I've got nothing to worry about.
I worry that maybe there is something I should be worried about but haven't thought of it, so I go through all the options just in case!
